About Appin, West Coast Scotland

The Appin and Port Appin areas are a much loved escape for artists, novelists, outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, or for those simply wanting to relax in one of Scotland’s most beautiful locations. It is situated on the West Coast of Scotland just north of Oban and south of Fort William, the Outdoor Capital of the UK.

Appin sits on the shores of Loch Creran and Loch Linnhe and is home to Castle Stalker, one of the most spectacular castles in Scotland. Across the loch is Ardnamurchan with it’s jaw-dropping scenic mountains. Just 20 minutes drive away is the world famous Glen Coe.
